Default Is pre-ordering worth it?

Hi!

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but I didn't really notice this exact question.

I'm wondering if it would be worth pre-ordering the game. It looks fantastic and I really want to play this. Not to mention how fantastic the game looks, but it also gives me the opportunity to be able to play a MMORPG because there's no monthly subscription.

But, at this time, is it worth me pre-ordering? Do you have to buy a retail version after the game gets released, or is it exactly as it says... I'm sorry but I'm a bit confused with this pre-order business.

I'm guessing you're pre-ordering the game so you'll get the game as soon as it's released and you'll be able to play it. But you get extras for pre-ordering too, like reserving your account name and playing in the BETAs.

Thanks for any follow up on this. I'm a bit confused. I hope it'll help anyone else with the same queries. I was also concerned with the date. It's the 3rd and I heard it's released on the 28th.

yes its worth it, not only will you be able to play in the last BWE on april 15-17 but you also will be able to play one day aerlier than the actual release, so u can begin playing on the 27th, not he 28th, also if you preorder you get an in game weapon(it varies depending on where you order) but you also get to reserve your character name so no one can waltz on in on the 28th and steal the name that you wanted. and last but not least is a chance to just play the game and get a feel for it, to see if you like it, which im sure you will.

Pre-ordering fees are only a deposit which will be deducted from the game's price.
There is only one beta weekend left, however seeing the game's popularity, you might not be able to aquire it on it's release day without pre-ordering.

Preordering allows you to try the game out before spending $50 on it. You can always cancel the pre-order if you find that Guild Wars isn't the game for you.

thanks for the help guys! i think it will be a good idea to get my account name now because it's not exactly a unique name...

i won't be surprised if it's already gone with the popularity of this game.

I'll pre-order it, try it out on the next beta date, and if i don't like it, i can always cancel then. but i doubt i won't like it! this looks fantastic!
